1) The no. 1 thing you can do to look hot is to feel hot. Start pampering yourself. Spend at least 20% of your day towards making yourself feel and look good. Get a manicure. Give yourself a scalp massage. Relax with a good book. Treat yourself like royalty!
2) Think quality, quality, quality when you eat and drink. Sidestep junk food and focus on lean meats, whole grains, lot of fruits and veggies.
3) Eat as little sugar as possible so you stop craving it. Eat plenty of protein as it satiates hunger and doesn't make you go out of control.
4) Little differences add up alot! Make simple substitutions. If you want crunch substitute chips and pretzels with sugar snap peas, celery and air popped popcorn. Melt a sugar free fudgsicle in the microwave and mix with a tsp of peanut butter and a little whipped cream and eat instead of ice cream. Use a little less dressing. Simple changes!
5) Drink lots of water throughout the day. Add a splash of lemon for zest. Do not drink diet or regular soda. Ween yourself off soda if you drink it. Drink unsweetened or lightly sweetened ice tea, water, small quantities of juice, milk. Drink moderate quantities of alcohol if desired.
6) Exercise is key to a buff bod. But it does not have to be hard. Work out with free weights 3 days a week alternating body parts. Rotate this with cardio. For example Week 1: Mon, Fri (Upper Body- Weights) Tues, Thurs, Sat (Cardio) Weds (Lower Body-Weights) Week 2: Mon, Fri (Lower Body-Weights) Tues, Thurs, Sat (Cardio) Weds (Upper Body-Weights) (See resources for my recommendations for exercise videos to help you get a hot body the easy way).
